Debbie Jacob is a journalist who teaches English and the Media and Ancient World history at The International School of Port of Spain. She earned a BA in Anthropology from Ohio State University and an MEd from Framingham State College in Massachusetts. She has a weekly education column in the Guardian and she is currently completing a BA in history at OSU while working on an MPhil in Cultural Studies at UWI. She wrote the pioneering TV drama Sugar Cane Arrows. Although she was born in the US, she considers herself to be a true-true Trini.
