She earned a BA in Anthropology from Ohio State University and an MEd from Framingham State College in Massachusetts. She has a weekly education column in the Guardian and she is currently completing a BA in history at OSU while working on an MPhil in Cultural Studies at UWI. She wrote the pioneering TV drama Sugar Cane Arrows. Inspired by their enthusiasm and no longer having an audience once they had grown up, he started writing. Andy first self-published “Stories from the Cockpit” in 2001. It contained three short stories, with artwork and photographs from various sources, including some illustrations of his own.
